Dave Matthews Band at Madison Square Garden: Frequently Asked Questions
When is Dave Matthews Band performing at Madison Square Garden?
Dave Matthews Band is scheduled to perform in New York on November 12 and 13, 2026, at Madison Square Garden. Check your ticket details for the specific date, entry information, and any event-day updates.
What kind of concert can fans expect?
Dave Matthews Band blends jam rock, progressive rock, folk rock, and jazz fusion, with extended instrumental passages and a setlist that changes from night to night. The band's catalog spans more than 30 years, including songs from Walk Around the Moon and familiar favorites such as ?Ants Marching,? ?Crash Into Me,? ?Grey Street,? and ?Warehouse.? No particular song is guaranteed at either performance.
Will the November 12 and 13 concerts have different setlists?
Dave Matthews Band is known for rotating songs and avoiding the same setlist on consecutive nights, so attending both Madison Square Garden shows may offer two distinct experiences. The band draws from a deep catalog, but the exact songs and order are not announced in advance.
How long does a Dave Matthews Band concert usually last?
Based on the band's typical live format, a performance can run approximately 2 hours and 35 minutes to 2 hours and 45 minutes, generally across two sets and an encore. The schedule and runtime for these Madison Square Garden dates may differ; consult event information closer to show day.
Are opening acts confirmed for these dates?
No opening acts have been provided for the November 12 or 13 Madison Square Garden concerts. Support performers, if scheduled, should be confirmed through the event listing or official venue updates. Do not assume that artists announced for other stops on a tour will appear in New York.
What are the best seats for a Dave Matthews Band concert at Madison Square Garden?
Madison Square Garden has Floor, 100 Level, 200 Level, and 300 Level seating. Lower-bowl side sections near center stage?often in the 100 Level?are a strong choice for balancing proximity and sightlines. Central 200 Level seats can offer an elevated, full-stage view, while the 300 Level is typically a more budget-conscious option. Floor seating is closest to the stage, but views can depend on the concert layout and standing audience.
Which Madison Square Garden seats may have a less favorable view?
Seats directly behind the stage or in extreme upper-corner areas may have limited or less direct views, depending on the final stage configuration. Review the seat location and any view notes before purchasing, as concert layouts can vary.
How much are Dave Matthews Band tickets at Madison Square Garden?
Prices currently start around $120, with many options potentially ranging to $500 or more, depending on seat location, availability, and demand. What is the best way to get to Madison Square Garden?
Public transportation is often the most convenient option: Madison Square Garden sits above Penn Station, served by regional rail and New York City subway lines. Check the MTA and rail operators for current routes, service changes, and late-night schedules before traveling. Allow extra time for event crowds around the station and arena.
Where can I park for Madison Square Garden?
On-site parking is very limited. Commercial garages near Penn Station and 8th Avenue are generally the closest options; garages farther away toward Herald Square or Chelsea may require a 10- to 15-minute walk. Event parking can cost approximately $30?$80 or more near the arena, while farther garages may be around $20?$50, depending on availability and demand. Street parking is scarce and restrictions are strictly enforced.
What is a useful parking tip for Madison Square Garden?
Plan parking in advance rather than searching for a space at the last minute, when nearby garages may be full or charge higher event rates. Compare garage locations and prices before driving, and consider parking farther away for a short walk. Rideshare pickups can also be delayed by post-concert traffic around Penn Station.
What is Madison Square Garden's bag policy?
Bag rules can change and may depend on the event. Check Madison Square Garden's current entry policy before leaving for the concert, including any size restrictions or prohibited items. Traveling with only essentials can help speed up screening at the gates.
Are there age restrictions for the Dave Matthews Band concerts?
No age restriction has been provided for these Madison Square Garden dates. Age policies can vary by event, so confirm the current rules with the venue or event listing before purchasing tickets for a minor. Every attendee may need a ticket regardless of age.
When should I arrive at Madison Square Garden?
Arrive with enough time to navigate security, locate your entrance, and find your seat before the performance. Allow additional time for subway or rail crowds, Midtown traffic, and mobile-ticket access. Door and show times should be checked on your ticket and the venue's event information.
Dave Matthews Band Newark Concert reviews
Entertaining, exciting and worth it
From beginning to end, this circus was very organized and entertaining. Checked in promptly, assisted directly to seats, directed where to go, and never a dull moment. Attended the first show of the day on a weekend and it was not too packed. Only disappointing thing was how inconsiderate people were with following parking etiquette. There were multiple cool air blowers aimed toward seating. Temperature in the tent was great considering the heat outside. Parking was free on the Dave Matthews Band lot which was very convenient and there were parking attendants trying to direct traffic but some people were being impatient and would not pay attention to direction.
